Mountain Laurel Inn offers a "rustic touch of class" setting on towering Lookout Mountain near the historic town of Mentone, AL. Inspiring views abound from our bed and breakfast inn nestled in the woods, on the canyon below DeSoto Falls.

The main house offers a beautiful view of the inspiring woods that can be enjoyed through the full size windows or in the rocking chairs on the porch. A separate guest house features beautifully decorated rooms, each with private entrance and bath, TV with VCR, DVD, heat and air. Each room has a theme to reflect the setting.

The river is full so come experience the grandeur and the peace of the many waterfalls in the Mentone area. DeSoto Falls is a ten-minute walk from your room at Mountain Laurel Inn B&B. Around the corner is DeSoto State Park where you can enjoy Indian Falls, Lost Falls and Laurel Falls with a walk in the woods. A little further down Little River are Little River Falls and Grace Falls, which are a part of Little River Canyon Natural Preserve.

Hiking trails around Mountain Laurel Inn Bed and Breakfast are enjoyed by everyone who visits. Walks can be short and relaxing or long and adventurous in these Alabama woods. You can stroll to the raised herb beds and to the bluff overlooking Little River by the trail in front of the main house,or hike to the base of Desoto Falls at Desoto State Park.

Come to Mentone and its surrounding area to hike until you drop. The hiker's package includes two Mountain Laurel Inn walking sticks, two Mountain Laurel Inn water bottles, a large package of GORP (trail mix) and a set of maps for hikes in and around Mentone.
